CTZ Mobile Side-Wall Shelters

26/10/2026

Known as "lean-to" tunnels, they can feature either a single-slope or double-slope roof.

They are attached directly to the wall of a building, running parallel to it. They can serve as warehouses of any size—ideal for reclaiming otherwise unused space—as well as loading and unloading areas, shelters for machinery and equipment, or sports facilities.

Side-mounted mobile shelters—often referred to as "lean-to" tunnels—are movable structures designed to be attached directly against the wall of an existing building, running parallel to it.

CTZ side-mounted mobile tunnels serve a variety of purposes, including warehouses of any size (reclaiming otherwise unused space), goods loading and unloading zones, storage for machinery and equipment, and sports facilities.

These mobile shelters are available in single-pitch or double-pitch configurations. Constructed from galvanized steel and covered with PVC sheeting, the structures move on steel wheels with double ball bearings along tracks: one track is mounted on the ground, while the other runs along a guide anchored to pillars.

The structure rests on pillars with a standard spacing of up to 5,000 mm; custom designs are also available for wider spans, accommodating beams up to 14 meters long.

These side-mounted shelters are self-supporting; they are installed independently of the adjacent building to ensure no load is placed on the existing structure.

Furthermore, multiple units can be joined together—sharing pillars—to create structures capable of covering very large spans.

Each CTZ side-mounted mobile tunnel can be equipped with a range of accessories, such as various types of industrial doors (from simple PVC curtains to high-speed doors), automated opening and closing systems, anti-condensation sheeting, and more.

A wide range of available colors allows for full customization, including the addition of company logos and advertising graphics.

These side-mounted mobile tunnels are CE certified and manufactured in compliance with the UNI 13241-1:2001 standard, ensuring safety and quality.
